Bachelor's Degree Program "Political and Social Philosophy"

The program acquaints its students with the foundations of contemporary political philosophy, social theory and ethics. The core curriculum includes such courses as Philosophy and Social Sciences, History of Political Ideas and Ethics, History of Sociology, Social and Cultural Modernization, Culture and Identity, Classical Concepts of Democracy, the State and Human Rights, Public Sphere and Mass Media, Ideology Critique. The program’s graduates may continue their education in the MA program “Social Theory and Political Philosophy”. The curriculum is aimed at training skills of applying the obtained knowledge in advancing practices which strengthen contemporary political culture, civic activism and implementation of human rights in European, regional and local contexts. The program educates a new generation of professionals, who will work in educational, cultural establishments, information agencies, non-governmental organizations and promote democratic developments in Belarus and social, political and cultural integration of the country into the European and global community.
