“Political Sciences. European Studies”

The subject core of the program forms students’ ideas on democracy as a form of government, diversity of its models and patterns, as well as on ways of transformation to democracy. The program pays great attention to the history of Europe, development of the European civilization, European integration, functioning of European political institutes and international organizations. The students are expected not only to understand and analyse the processes taking place in Europe, but also to transmit the European values to the Belarusian society.

An essential part of the program’s curriculum is built of practical courses in such areas as cross-cultural communications, political technologies, negotiations techniques, public relations etc. By obtaining such knowledge and skills, the students enhance their professional competence, which allows them to integrate themselves directly into the actual political processes and be efficient in promoting political changes in Belarus. The program is aimed at training Belarusian specialists, who would possess all requisite knowledge in the field of contemporary Political Science and skills of non-biased analysis of today’s political processes and be able to apply them in the future to facilitate the political dialogue between Belarus and Europe. The program’s graduates may be employed as political analysts, experts and consultants, in international organizations, in the field of political journalism.
